Staff, students and visitors to ALS will immediately recognise Paula Callaghan as one of our helpful and knowledgeable student advisors. Having been at BU for several years, Paula has a wealth of experience in supporting our students. However, there is another side to Paula which, on Monday 16th July, will become known far and wide as she makes her TV debut on ITV’s Daybreak programme.

Paula is a founder member of a belly dancing troupe called BellyFusion. Established with the sole aim of raising money for charity, BellyFusion regularly perform in local venues and have also worked with both Bournemouth and Poole councils on community projects. Increasingly popular, they are often featured in the local press and magazines. Every performance is free of charge. These lovely women don’t even ask for expenses…just a contribution for their charity which, this year, is Poole and District Children’s Cancer Fund.

So, if you want to see the colourful troupe in action, tune in to ITV on Monday morning between 6-8.30am. The ladies will be filmed at Rockley Park where they will be dancing and interacting with children. And if you’d like to see a live performance or book them for your event, have a look at their website:
