Reading and writing

Continuing the occasional accounts of what our staff get up to when away from the workplace, here’s ALS support tutor, Alison, reading from her own work at Bridport last week.

The Bridport Open Book Festival is one of the most prestigious of the plethora of literary celebrations in the UK and the Bridport Prize is the biggest creative writing award in the English language.

Alison has previously succeeded in being shortlisted for the big gong. This year, she was happy to participate in a Story Slam organised by the Dorset Writers’ Network whereby authors were chosen to perform a piece of flash fiction.
