This is Jason Han Lin who arrived at 6am on Thursday 7th (03 07) , weighing in at 7Ib 3oz. All those numbers have been mentioned because, apart from being handy stats, six, seven and three are considered lucky in Chinese culture – an auspicious beginning.
Jason Han Lin is, of course, the son of Yumei and her husband, Andy. There was some initial cause for concern which meant that all three had to return to hospital for three days. Thankfully, Jason was given a clean bill of health and everyone is now home.
Jason means ‘healer’ and Han Lin means ‘knowledgeable’ as Sally and Ana discovered when they went to visit last Tuesday. They took with them a Boots voucher and a bouquet of flowers from everyone in ALS. Yumei promises to bring Jason in to meet everyone as soon as she can and passes on grateful thanks for the card, gifts and best wishes.
Thanks to Sally for writing this entry and taking the lovely photos.
