… well that’s what it says in an article forwarded by ALS tutor, Noemi.

Research by Matthew Silverstone maintains that just being in the vicinity of a tree has a beneficial effect. Apparently, this is due to the way in which different vibrations affect our physiology. So, after all these years, it seems there was something in those old hippie vibes. Better dig out the kaftans and beads.

Seriously though, Silverstone offers scientific proof that keeping a close proximity to trees can help headaches, Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder, concentration levels, reaction times, depression and other forms of mental illness.

Throughout the book, the arguments are justified by reference to other studies, one of which claims that this natural therapy may be as effective as prescription drugs in the treatment of some mental health disorders.
