This was an award presented to Jack and Specialst Tutor, Carolyn for their work at Bournemouth University. The award ceremony was held on December 12, 2015 at Holdenhurst Village Hall where they received a cut glass crystal engraved trophy.
Carolyn is immensely proud to have won this award with Jack as there is stiff competition from other caring canine teams, who are equally as deserving of recognition. Chris Scholes, ALS manager, supported their nomination through a written application which was sent to judges both here in the UK and abroad. We are reliably informed that the decision to award th the memorial trophy was unanimous.
The award was presented by Viv and Barry Goldhart who are the new patrons of Caring Canines ( joining Tobias Ellwood MP) who are past Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth and are very involved with local community projects.
Chris Scholes accompanied Jack and Carolyn to the award ceremony which was attended by other caring canine teams.
Also as a matter of interest Caring Canines has recently been awarded the British Citizen Award. They have also achieved the Queens Award and are in receipt of the British Empire Medal.
Many congratulations to Carolyn and Jack
